Workshops · Spotlock
Fill the places. Focus on the workshop.
From a Saturday pottery session to an evening painting workshop, make the path from interest to a confirmed place straightforward.
Set the rules before opening bookings
Choose the date and time zone, venue, capacity, sales cutoff and maximum quantity per booking. Unlimited availability and a per-booking limit are different settings: one controls overall capacity, the other controls each order.
Make group purchases intentional
Allow multiple places when your workflow supports a group booking. If you offer a group discount, check the threshold and total using a preview before publishing.
Handle a full session clearly
Let customers join a waitlist for a full session. Joining it does not reserve a place or guarantee admission. Decide how your team will contact people if availability changes.
Plan arrival as well as checkout
Use ticket scanning for event admission or the roster for attendance. Staff can find a booking by name; a scanner is not the only way to run the desk.
Questions before you get started
Can a workshop be free?
Yes. Free bookings have no Spotlock platform fee and do not require a payment connection.
Can I sell event tickets instead?
Yes. Use event ticketing when individual admission tickets are the right model for the experience.
