Passes & memberships · Spotlock
Make access rules clear before people arrive.
A day pass and an annual prepaid membership should tell customers exactly when access starts, when it ends and what is included.
Choose what activates the pass
Decide whether access begins after payment or at first use, where supported by the chosen pass setup. Explain the validity period alongside the price so customers know what they are buying.
Set quantity and visit limits separately
A per-order quantity controls how many passes someone can buy. A visit limit controls usage of a pass. Check named-holder rules and how each participant will be identified before allowing group purchases.
Prepaid access is not recurring billing
A prepaid membership covers a defined access period and requires another purchase to continue. It does not automatically renew or charge the customer again.
Test the desk workflow
Preview purchase, confirmation, activation and repeat check-in. Staff should understand expired access and already-used passes before opening sales.
Questions before you get started
Will an annual prepaid membership renew automatically?
No. Customers make another purchase when they want to renew their prepaid access.
Can customers buy multiple day passes?
Configure the maximum quantity for the pass and verify that its holder and admission rules fit your intended group purchase.
